Exam 1

The first exam for this class will be on Friday 02/09 from 5:00 - 6:00pm at Building 420, room 041. The exam will cover lecture dates January 8th to 29th inclusive. We suggest preparing for the exam by reviewing the lecture slides and notes. The exam will consist of four sections, namely on supervised learning, dynamic programming, learning-based control, and learning-based perception. In total, there are twelve questions that will be True/False and multiple choice. Some questions may require a minimal amount of computation i.e. math with paper/pencil. Partial credit will be given for answers that include explanations and justifications. It will be a written exam, and we will provide the printouts. You are welcome to bring a double-sided (letter sized) page of notes. No laptops, cell phones, or tablets will be allowed. You can find last year's exam 1 (with solutions) here.


Exam 2

The second exam for this class will be on Friday 02/23 from 5:00 - 6:00pm at Building 420, room 041. The exam will cover lecture dates January 31st to February 12th inclusive. We suggest preparing for the exam by reviewing the lecture slides and notes. The exam will consist of three sections, namely on fundamentals of grasping, grasp force optimisation and planar pushing as well as learning-based grasping and manipulation. In total, there are twelve questions that will be True/False and multiple choice. Some questions may require a minimal amount of computation i.e. math with paper/pencil. Partial credit will be given for answers that include explanations and justifications. It will be a written exam, and we will provide the printouts. Exam 3

The third exam for this class will be on Friday 03/15 from 5:00 - 6:00pm at Building 420, room 040. The exam will cover lecture dates February 14th to March 11th inclusive. We suggest preparing for the exam by reviewing the lecture slides and lecture notes. The exam will consist of three sections, namely on imitation learning, learning from diverse sources of data and interaction-aware control and shared autonomy. In total, there are twelve questions that will be True/False and multiple choice. Some questions may require a minimal amount of computation i.e. math with paper/pencil. Partial credit will be given for answers that include explanations and justifications. It will be a written exam, and we will provide the printouts.
